Here is a Roach Infestation You Have Never Heard of!

Veterans’ Affairs Hospitals are already under enough scrutiny given many scandals that have been reported in the wake of the post 9/11 war on terror.  However, there is now a new problem facing patients at VA Hospitals that nobody could have anticipated—Roaches in cafeteria food!

The roach infestation in VA Hospitals has not gone unnoticed.  In one VA hospital location it has been seen that cooks will often have to physically remove cockroaches from plates full of food and ready to be served.  The problem is so bad that one VA employee noticed that a Roach had hitched a ride from the kitchen to a patient’s room.  Luckily, the roach was found and removed by the employee before the hungry patient had a chance to see the ugly roach rummaging through his savory dish.

The problem is apparently so out of hand that a US senator has called the VA Hospitals out on it and has demanded changes.  This seems to be a reasonable request.
