Get a Garden Spider
You might not be a big fan of them, but there’s no doubt that spiders are definitely the best choice for biological pest control in your garden. Another huge bonus is that they also are one of the few predators of plant pests that don’t eat plants.
Experts consider spiders to be mostly generalist predators. They can feed on a large variety of prey, and will for the most part go for whatever is available. They will take care of your caterpillars, grasshoppers, spider mites, beetles, and even the larger vertebrates like lizards and frogs. They are honestly a garden’s best friend. And they have a huge appetite. They eat the insect equivalent of all the humans on Earth every year. They basically wipe out any pest problem you might have, and perform an extremely vital function.
The other thing to consider is that most spiders are not medically harmful to humans. You might be scared of them, but they’re way more scared of you. It might be worth the scare factor to get one of these guys protecting your precious tomatoes and strawberries.
