Insect Shield Teams Up With the Olympians
The threat of the Zika virus has made athletes competing at the Olympics in Rio decidedly concerned…just not enough to relocate the event. So, in an effort to provide athletes and other people working at the Olympics with better protection against insects, Insect Shield has created a program where teams can get all of their clothing treated with insect repellent.
This is really just an extension of programs they already have in place, as they already work with many oil and gas, mining, forestry, and global health organizations to protect their workers from insects. The companies that are teaming up with Insect Shield are also requiring their employees to wear the clothing whenever they are either traveling to or are working in areas where there are insect borne diseases such as at the Rio Olympics. The U.S. rowing team is taking full advantage of this program. They are using the Insect Shield Your Own Clothes program, which allows them to send all of their clothing to Insect Shield and get it treated with the Insect Shield protection, rather than have to get specific clothing made with the protection included. So, athletes can wear their trendy uniforms and still get ample protection against bugs! Apparently, you too can get your clothes treated with Insect Shield, as they offer this service to the entire public!
Would you consider getting your clothes treated with Insect Shield?
