Alien Spider Spotted On Mars, According To Non-Experts
The world will never run short of conspiracy theorists, and when it comes to the planet Mars, all sorts of people of questionable mental health have claimed to have noticed various signs of alien life by looking at the many pictures the Mars rover has taken over the years. One such image captured within the red caverns of Mars seems to show a crablike arachnid creature resting on the side of a cliff.
Every time claims such as these are made, NASA officials are quick to point out their foolishness. However, the arachnid image has a lot of seemingly rationally minded people convinced that Mars could potentially be an alien-arachnid hotspot.

The director of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (Yes, that is a real NASA funded program) has stated that the alleged arachnid constitutes a case of pareidolia. This is the name given to the psychological phenomena that convinces people that they are seeing faces or other everyday things in random images that are often obscured enough to ignite the imagination of many a conspiracy theorist. As much as the NASA paid alien hunter would like to believe that Mars is home to several large arachnids, he nevertheless does not waste anytime claiming that this is not the case.
Although there are no spiders on Mars that we know of, at what points in human history have spiders been in space? And why?
