Government Has Been Creating Insect Cyborgs For Decades
The internet is rich in blog articles that talk about the government’s intention to turn bugs into cyborgs in order to use them for malicious purposes. Well, whether the purposes for such questionable doings constitute malice or not is unknown. What is known is that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has been creating insect cyborgs for seven whole decades.
Due to rules outlined in the Freedom of Information Act a University professor obtained a wealth of documents telling about the insect cyborgs high degree of sophistication. During the early years of DARPA’s existence engineers attempted to create tiny airborne devices by resorting to several, and ultimately unsuccessful methods. Luckily, at some point a bright scientists suggested using nature itself through flying insects, and the government agency has been doing that ever since. But why?
