A Lucky Person Who Won An XBox One Only Had To Eat A Centipede
The venomous potential of a centipede bite may not often be equated to other bites from well known venomous creatures. Despite this, many centipede species are highly venomous, and in some cases humans have even died as a result of their bites. Considering this fact, it can be inferred that eating a centipede is not a particularly good idea. However, the dangers of centipede-eating did not stand in the way of one gamer’s desire to win the new XBox video game console.
Many people are aware that the most recent San Diego comic-con recently ended, but very few people heard about the ill-advised centipede-eating shenanigans that went down at the convention. After rumors of the event got around, the person that ate the centipede confirmed that the rumors are, indeed, true. A Reddit user that goes by the username lilypad 360 posted photos of herself at the convention while holding the gaming console that she had just won. The girl ate the centipede as part of a promotional campaign that was aiming to sell the new Tomb Raider video game. The girl, along with several other contestants, spun a wheel that would land on one of 21 different points. If the wheel landed on the prize-winning point, that contestant would win a new XBox One. Unfortunately, not just anybody could enter this contest, as eating a centipede was the price of entry. This means that a vast amount of contestants had to walk home empty handed after having consumed a live centipede.
After posting pictures and a description of the event to Reddit, many Reddit users naturally became curious concerning the taste and texture of the centipede-meal. The girl described the taste of the centipede as becoming increasingly “unpleasant” the more she chewed on it. The centipede was apparently hard to chew due to its tough exoskeleton, but eventually, the girl managed to swallow the creature after a sufficient amount of chewing.
Would you be willing to eat a centipede for a chance to win the new XBox console?
