A Woman Ordered Food So That The Delivery Driver Could Kill A Scary Spider In Her Home
Some people’s fear of spiders can be so great that they cannot even bring themselves to kill them when they are found indoors. This is why arachnophobes will go to great lengths in order to avoid killing spiders themselves. In many cases when a person spots a spider that they are too afraid to kill, someone they live with will do the job for them. Of course, the world is full of arachnophobes who live alone, and in these cases, killing unwanted and frightening looking spiders becomes a difficult undertaking. What is one to do in such a situation? Call on a neighbor’s assistance, perhaps? If these two potential solutions are not an option, then you can order food to be delivered solely so the delivery driver can kill the arachnid intruder for you. This may not sound like a realistic solution, but it worked for one student who ordered Kentucky Fried Chicken through the delivery service known as Deliveroo. The college student had little interest in KFC, but she believed that ordering food was her only option.
Last summer a 22 year old British college student, Demi Sweeney, woke up one morning to find a spider in her home. Sweeney panicked over the spider’s presence, as she is afflicted with a bad case of arachnophobia. Since Sweeney was far too scared of the spider to approach it, she decided that ordering food was the best idea, as the delivery driver could simply kill the spider for her. Sweeney was decent enough to message the delivery company, Deliveroo, on Facebook asking if it was okay if the delivery driver killed a spider for her. The employee with Deliveroo responded by saying that she could have left a note with her online order asking if the delivery driver could kill the spider, but there would be no guarantee that the driver would agree to do so. Once the driver arrived with her KFC order, she asked the driver if he wouldn’t mind killing the spider in her home. As it happened, the driver himself was terrified of spiders, but with a little convincing, and probably a bigger tip, the driver agreed to kill the spider intruder. Although it was a bit of a struggle, the driver managed to place the spider within the toilet so that it could be flushed. So if you ever find a scary spider in your home that you don’t want to kill, then you can always order food.
