Woman Leaves Five Hundred Roaches In Her Mailbox For Mail-Thieves
Now that tax season has arrived so has the annual increase in mail-theft. Many Americans have yet to complete their taxes, but some productive individuals are already waiting for their tax returns to arrive in their mailbox. As you can guess, this time of year sees many cases of mail-theft. Thieves who are hoping to cash other people’s tax return checks will snoop though mailboxes hoping to find mail sent by the IRS. One resident of California is fed-up with mail-thieves, so she designed her own form of revenge against the criminals who have repeatedly stolen her mail.
A resident of Marina, California has recently placed an order for five hundred live cockroaches. Rosalinda Vizina is a professional entomologist, so acquiring the cockroaches was not a problem. Once the roaches arrived at her home she put them into a package before leaving the roach-filled package outside of her door. Vizina made it look like a postal carrier had left the package by her door. Sure enough, barely any time passed before her package was stolen. Of course, this is exactly what Vizina wanted, and now somewhere in California a mail thief is being overwhelmed with hundreds of terrifying cockroaches.
Vizina said that she was tired of thieves stealing mail from the mailboxes in her apartment complex. One of the mailboxes in her complex had been pried open. When she called her post office, postal officials said that mail-thieves were active in her area. Even houses that are located down the street from her had seen pieces of mail go missing. The postal officials recommended that Vizian receive all of her mail at the post office, and not her mailbox. Instead Viviza resorted to her own brand of revenge. Hopefully the thief will become discouraged from further acts of criminality after discovering the cockroaches. The only regret Viviza has concerns the roaches themselves. She is hoping that the roaches were not all killed, but she also said she hopes that the roaches “went everywhere” when the thief opened the package.
From your perspective would the lives of five hundred roaches be worth pulling-off a prank similar to the one Viviza pulled-off?
